Eleonora Acuña is an Argentine dancer and choreographer. She holds a M.A. degree in Opera Direction from the Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, and she also graduated as a professional teacher in Spanish Dance. Her background encompasses the study and performance of classical music, ballet, contemporary dance, escuela bolera, regional Spanish dances and flamenco.
Her major credits and achievements include: dancing with the Amaya’s troupe; Angel Pericet’s Escuela Bolera; international tours with dance and opera companies; as well as directing and choreographing opera and dance groups.
She has received numerous positive reviews by the specialized media and connoisseurs who have seen her performances. She has also won recognition in Canada by the Spanish diplomatic representation in Toronto by contributing to the understanding of the Spanish Art by the Canadian people and by the Spanish Cultural Centre in Vancouver for conveying "flamenco of high quality with art and style."
